Juhi Chawla reveals a secret about Anil Kapoor – read on to know what it is!

The once super-hit jodi of Juhi Chawla and Anil Kapoor will be seen once again in the upcoming film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The film – that sees the duo play Punjabi characters – also stars Sonam K Ahuja and Rajkummar Rao and is being directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar. Interestingly, in spite of Anil, Juhi and the director belonging to a senior generation, the vibes on the sets were always very young. When asked about it, Juhi reveals that the credit for this goes to Anil, ‘who’s the youngest of us all’. “Anil was, is and will always stay young,” says Juhi fondly of her co-star.

She explains, “Anil hasn’t changed a bit. He still has the same child-like enthusiasm and excitement of working that he had years ago. Still doesn’t shy away from giving retakes and still has the same passion for work. Probably that’s why it doesn’t feel like I’m working with him after so long. It feels like yesterday.” Seconding her is Rajkummar, who says, “He is so inspiring to have around. His energy is unmatched and there’s so much you learn just by observing him.” Daughter Sonam laughs, “He is more energetic than all of us put together.” On a serious note, she adds, “I think somewhere all of this energy comes from being so passionate about what you do and what you are and your work. It just comes naturally to him, as he is like that.”

The film has been creating much buzz ever since the trailer was released and currently has been making news for Rajkumar Hirani’s ouster as the co-producer of the film following his involvement in a #MeToo scandal. Slated for a February 1 release, the film is said to explore the theme of sex-relationships and is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
