In its third-year Actors Cricket Bash (ACB), founded by Dilip Agrawal, is going to get all the more exciting. This time actor Kabir Sadanand will participate in the event as a part of Team Mumbai Aces. He sounds excited about his association and the fact that he will be able to play real cricket, much like the tagline of ACB — #ReelActorsRealCricket. This will be held between March 19 and March 22, in Air India Ground, Mumbai.

“Dilip Aggarwal’s ACB is serious cricket that is played by passionate actors who love the sport. It’s the only event in the country that brings together such a huge pool of talent from the acting world and it’s quite glamorous. The teams will only have men but then each team will also have actresses from the world of television supporting and cheering for their teammates. There’s never going to be a dull moment in the competition that is definitely going to be sporty, sizzling and entertaining. When you have actors who understand only winning, coming second is never an option. So expect dramatic moments,” he says.

Kabir, like fans of the game, believes that it’s a religion that binds the nation. The actor is in his prep mode at the moment. “It’s going to be weeks of training and yes being back with friends working as a team will be fun,” adds Kabir, whose favourite cricketer is Virat kohli. “It’s his passion and devotion to the game and nation that inspires me.”

On what can be expected from ACB, Kabir says, “It’s going to be an extended weekend of some great cricket and high glamour and lots of tantrums and smiles. Dilip is not like a one man army, he is a one man army. He has single-handedly created such an amazing event. His tenacity and commitment is beyond comparison. He is a dear friend. I respect him for his hard work and passion for the game. He is a fine cricketer himself.”

The new season of the Indian Premier League is coming up. Being a sports buff, Kabir will be following all the games. “This time, I will support the underdogs because no one cares for them,” he concludes.
