Kabir Singh teaser: Shahid Kapoor’s rebellious avatar sets the tone for this action packed film

Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, is finally back with another interesting project titled Kabir Singh. The teaser of the same is out and it’s very appealing courtesy Sasha’s cocaine-snorting and alcoholic avatar. Since the movie is a remake of a South blockbuster, the stakes are quite high when it comes to entertaining the audience. The teaser was released earlier in the day by Shahid himself and here is all you need to know about the much-awaited film.

The action-packed teaser of Kabir Singh that came out today looks interesting. Shahid opens the teaser video and is seen drinking while a voiceover tells us that he is a doctor. In fact, he is an angry, intense doctor who is seen beating up people ruthlessly and abusing them as well. But that’s not all! Sasha’s character in the film is also addicted to cocaine and for some reason, he even stores alcohol in his water tank. From the start to the very end, Shahid is brilliant and seems to have nailed his part to perfection. The teaser sets the tone of his character just right and we are now intrigued to know what’s more in store for us. Kiara Advani, who plays the female lead, is also seen in the teaser but at the very end and that too for a few seconds. “I’m not a rebel without a cause. This is ME! #kabirsingh,” wrote Shahid on his Twitter timeline while sharing the teaser.

Also, Shahid is seen sporting two very different looks in the video – one is grungy and other is clean-shaven. His abs are also missing, however, the actor still manages to kick up a storm in the action sequence. Kabir Singh is the official remake of south movie Arjun Reddy. The original film was lead by Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey. The story is about a surgeon who goes into the self-destructive zone when the girl he loves is forcefully married to someone else.

Kabir Singh is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Ashwin Varde, Krishan Kumar and Murad Khetani. The film went on floors last August and will be releasing this year on June 21. For more updates and gossip from Bollywood, stay tuned to CineBlitz.
