Kalank first look: Alia Bhatt’s bride avatar as Roop is beauty personified – view pic

Just day before yesterday, we told you that Varun will be flying back to India to attend a Kalank event on March 11. We all thought that it will be the day when we will finally get introduced to their journey. But Karan Johar took us all by surprise when he posted a still from his film and post that revealed the look of the men’s of Kalank- Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt’s characters. The posters went viral and everyone went crazy seeing the rugged, dashing actors of Kalank. After seeing the men in the period film’s poster, we all were eagerly waiting to see how the ladies’ look. And guess what the first of them is finally here. The team of Kalank have revealed Alia Bhatt’s look and she looks drop dead gorgeous.

Talking about the poster, it is the first time we will see Alia in such a dynamic avatar. Red drape, heavy ornaments and the poise make her look absolutely regal. Introduced as, “Resilient at heart but everyone has a chapter they don’t read aloud. Here’s Roop!,” we cannot wait to see her in this “roop” on the big screen.  Check out the poster right here:

Helmed by Abhishek Varman, the film is backed by  Sajid Nadiadwala, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios. Karan Johar revealed how this project is very close to his heart and the touch of the 40s era and his father’s thoughts make it an occult journey for him.
