Ever since Kangana Ranaut confirmed the third installment of Tanu Weds Manu (2011) being in the pipeline, everyone’s been excited. The industry as well as the the fans couldn’t have been happier. There had been reports about how the actress and the director Aanand L Rai had a fall-out post Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015). This was because the director allegedly felt that there was too much involvement by Kangana in other filmmaking aspects of the film, besides acting. However, we hear they’ve buried all their differences. And here’s the exclusive inside story about how the patch up happened!

Inspite Tanu Weds Manu Returns going on to become a superhit and makers admitting to take it further, Kangana refused to do the third part until now. And industry insiders feel that it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is to be thanked for the patch up. As an insider reveals to us exclusively, “Both Kangana and Rai are fond of each other. Yes, they had some differences, but it was only a matter of sitting together and sorting it out for them to come together for a project again. And that’s what happened recently.”

The insider further adds, “At Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with Bollywood celebs, Kangana and Rai had no choice but to talk to each other for those few hours that the entire film industry was present. So, perhaps that’s when they patched up.” Interestingly, it was post this that Kangana shared news in an interview that Tanu Weds Manu 3 may be in the pipeline.

It may be recalled that during Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Kangana had reportedly said that she wanted to work very hard to make the two characters very different. And hence, she distanced Rai from her.
