While Kangana Ranaut’s film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is currently faring well at the box office, the National Award winning actress however isn’t happy with Bollywood and Alia Bhatt in particular. The 31-year-old recently grabbed headlines when filmmaker Krish, in an explosive interview, said that he shot the 70% of the period war drama but it was Kangana who took away the credit as a director of the film. This obviously didn’t go down well with Ms Ranaut and she addressed the controversy a few days back at an event and vouched to expose everyone who had ganged up on her. At the event, Kangana also mentioned how she had attended the screening of Raazi and Secret Superstar but when it came to Manikarnika, nobody from the industry came out to support her film.

Alia Bhatt, who is currently busy promoting her film Gully Boy, was asked to react on the same at a press meet and the actress said, “I hope she doesn’t dislike me and I don’t think she dislikes me. I don’t think I have done anything intentionally to upset her. If I have, I will apologize to her on a personal level.” But it seems Kangana wasn’t satisfied with Alia’s reply and therefore while talking to an entertainment portal, the Fashion actress reiterated saying, “I reached out to Alia Bhatt and asked her what makes her think Manikarnika is my personal controversy, it’s a film whole nation is talking about and wondering why Bollywood is keeping quiet on such a relevant work…I asked her if I can be courteous and gracious to acknowledge her requests for encouraging relevant work that she does, why is she so scared to see my film.”

Kangana further added, “I suggested that she grows some spine and supports an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism…if she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being Karan Johar’s  puppet then I don’t consider her successful…I told her if she is only focusing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value…hope she understands the true meaning of success and her responsibilities, Nepotism gang life is simply restricted to give and take favours…hope she rises above that.”

Now we wonder what Alia has to say about Kangana’s latest comments. Will the Gully Boy heroine react and drag the controversy further? Or is this the end of Kangana-Alia’s cat fight? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
