Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt’s cat fight intensifies; Manikarnika actress suggest her to “grow some spine!”

After threatening to expose Bollywood for not supporting her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Kangana Ranaut has now got involved in a verbal spat with Alia Bhatt and here’s all you need to know.

While Kangana Ranaut’s film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is currently faring well at the box office, the National Award winning actress however isn’t happy with Bollywood and Alia Bhatt in particular. The 31-year-old recently grabbed headlines when filmmaker Krish, in an explosive interview, said that he shot the 70% of the period war drama but it was Kangana who took away the credit as a director of the film. This obviously didn’t go down well with Ms Ranaut and she addressed the controversy a few days back at an event and vouched to expose everyone who had ganged up on her. At the event, Kangana also mentioned how she had attended the screening of Raazi and Secret Superstar but when it came to Manikarnika, nobody from the industry came out to support her film.

Alia Bhatt, who is currently busy promoting her film Gully Boy, was asked to react on the same at a press meet and the actress said, “I hope she doesn’t dislike me and I don’t think she dislikes me. I don’t think I have done anything intentionally to upset her. If I have, I will apologize to her on a personal level.” But it seems Kangana wasn’t satisfied with Alia’s reply and therefore while talking to an entertainment portal, the Fashion actress reiterated saying, “I reached out to Alia Bhatt and asked her what makes her think Manikarnika is my personal controversy, it’s a film whole nation is talking about and wondering why Bollywood is keeping quiet on such a relevant work…I asked her if I can be courteous and gracious to acknowledge her requests for encouraging relevant work that she does, why is she so scared to see my film.”

Kangana further added, “I suggested that she grows some spine and supports an important film about woman empowerment and nationalism…if she doesn’t have a voice of her own and her existence is all about being Karan Johar’s  puppet then I don’t consider her successful…I told her if she is only focusing on earning bucks and not raise a voice, then her success has no value…hope she understands the true meaning of success and her responsibilities, Nepotism gang life is simply restricted to give and take favours…hope she rises above that.”

Now we wonder what Alia has to say about Kangana’s latest comments. Will the Gully Boy heroine react and drag the controversy further? Or is this the end of Kangana-Alia’s cat fight? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!

Pulwama latest news: Navjot Singh Sidhu banned by IFTDA; won’t even be allowed to enter Film City

Navjot Singh Sidhu gets into more trouble post his remarks on the Pulwama attack

Navjot Singh Sidhu has been in hot waters ever since he made insensitive comments over the Pulwama terror attacks. First, he was sacked by Sony Entertainment TV from The Kapil Sharma Show as his unsavoury comments had left everyone fuming on social media. Then Sidhu faced protest inside the Punjab Assembly and the situation was so bad that the assembly members burnt his photos and the opposition even demanded his resignation. And as if all this wasn’t enough, now IFTDA has passed a resolution to not work with Sidhu again.

The Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA) has released an official statement on the same wherein they have also slammed the cricketer-turned-politician quite strongly for his remarks. Though Sidhu recently tried to justify his comments, looks like nothing is going to help him at the moment. Getting banned by IFTDA is indeed a big blow and now we are wondering what will be Sidhu’s next step professionally as things are going to be very tough for him henceforth. Also, as per latest updates, Navjot Singh Sidhu has been banned from entering the premises of Mumbai’s Film City too.

This action was taken by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees on Thursday. Well, all we can say is that Sidhu should have been very careful before commenting on the terrorist attack. But it’s too late. Anyway, the remark that has got him so much flak was, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual?” The former cricketer said this after more than 40 CPRF jawans were killed in a deadly terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Kangana Ranaut urges PM Narendra Modi to scrap Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir – watch video

Kangana Ranaut, who has been very vocal about the Pulwama terror attack, now wants Prime Minister Narendra Modi to scrap article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. She has also called for a ban on Pakistani artistes!

While most Bollywood celebrities stay away from commenting on political issues, actress Kangana Ranaut is not one of them. If there is something on her mind, the curly-haired babe will openly say it without thinking twice. And though this gets her into trouble more often, Kangana doesn’t care. And why should she? After all, it’s her unapologetic, bindass attitude that makes her the darling of the masses. So recently when the National award-winning actress was spotted at the Mumbai airport; she once again spoke her heart out and didn’t shy from voicing her opinion.

Talking about the Pulwama terror attack, Kangana said, “First of all we should stop calling it an attack on our soldiers. It’s an attack on each one of us because the soldiers are our defence.” She went on to add, “We should use this to do something constructive. So it’s my sincere request to our Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he should scrap the article 370 completely. I feel after so many years of Independence, no state in our country should face confusion as to where they belong.”

Further, when asked about Bollywood’s decision to not release films in Pakistan and ban their artists, Kangana had a swift and strong reply. She said that the country comes first and then everything else. She also pointed out that though the audience in Pakistan loves Bollywood films, the Hindi film fraternity is with their country, their government and soldiers. She also mentioned that India should set an example for Pakistan by leaving everything else behind and being with the country more than anything else.

Kangana Ranaut gets a stinging open letter from Pakistan post her Pulwama attack remarks

A Pakistani journalist has slammed Kangana Ranaut for her remarks following the Pulwama terror attack

Apart from being a terrific actress, Kangana Ranaut is also known for her bindass and outspoken attitude. And maybe that’s one reason why she often finds herself surrounded by controversies. As if all the hoopla around her last film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi wasn’t enough, the actress has once again found herself in hot waters courtesy her recent comment on Pakistan over the Pulwama terror attack. Pakistani journalist Shabana Mahfooz has written an open letter severely criticizing the National award-winning actress for saying “Pakistan ban is not the focus, Pakistan destruction is” in one of her interviews.

Addressed directly to Kangana, Shabana has first praised the actress for her film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in the letter and then has slammed her for that very particular statement. Further, the Pakistani journalist has asked in the open letter why her country gets blamed for every attack that takes place in India. That’s not all! She has also questioned Kangana’s intention while pointing out the whole Shabana Azmi episode. Reportedly, the senior actress was supposed to travel to Karachi for a 2-day literary event but she cancelled her trip following the deadly attack that shook India. Commenting on the same, Kangana had said, “Why did they organise an event in Karachi in the first place?”

Basically, Mahfooz has said in her letter that if Kangana hates Pakistan so much then she shouldn’t have released her film Manikarnika in the country. It’s quite hypocritical of her to point fingers at others when her own production venture is running in the Pakistani cinema halls. In the end, Shabana has advised Kangana to concentrate on her controversies related to Manikarnika and not anything else.

Now we wonder how Kangana will react to this open letter. Or she won’t at all. Let’s wait and watch.
