Kangana Ranaut – Shabana Azmi’s Twitter fight gets an interesting twist

The Manikarnika actress was slammed by fans when a viral quote of hers, with her picture, was circulated on the internet. The quote was apparently her reply, calling out Shabana Azmi for reportedly tweeting disrespectful comments about Hindu goddesses during Navratri.

Kangana’s quote was proven to be fake, with an online portal reporting that the quote by Kangana was indeed false and no interview or discussion carried these statements by the actress. Kangana’s PR team also confirmed the same.

Shabana Azmi, on the other hand, had apparently indeed tweeted the alleged disrespectful comments. However, they were also reportedly fabricated and twisted to include words like “Allah” and “Navratri”, which the former actress insists she “never said” (according to a report by another online portal).

Kangana will next be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s Mental Hai Kya, which will release in theatres on July 26th. It also stars Rajkummar Rao in the male lead, and Jimmy Shergill, Shah Rukh Khan and Amrita Puri in supporting roles.
