Karan Johar denies Alia Bhatt in Dostana 2 rumours; says, “No one has been approached!”

Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan’s Dostana was one of the most heart-warming yet entertaining films. The movie impressed movie-goers and fans have been demanding a sequel since a few years now. In fact, Priyanka, Abhishek and even John wanted a sequel to be made and had expressed their wishes on Twitter. Producer Karan Johar had revealed a couple of years ago that Dostana 2 would be made, but there has been no progress on it since then. We had heard that the cast might be rejigged, but there was no clarity on it. So, when we recently heard that Alia Bhatt has been approached for the movie and it is going on track, it was naturally exciting!

Twitter was full of excitement for Dostana 2 and Alia being a part of it was like a cherry on the cake. But looks like all these rumours were untrue. Yes, Karan has denied all the speculations. In fact, the makers have thought of ideas for the film and the ideal cast. But they further clarified that no one has been officially approached for the role. Karan, “For the record. NO ONE has been officially approached for Dostana 2! Some thoughts and ideas are underway but nothing official has moved.”

Directed by Tarun Masukhani, Dostana (2008) was a huge hit at the box office across the world. And we are sure, Dostana 2 will break records at the ticket window when it releases.
