Kareena Kapoor plays a cop in Angrezi Medium and here’s proof

Angrezi Medium producer Dinesh Vijan today announced that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be playing a cop in the film. It’s a role that she says she’s actually never played before, during her 19-year-run in Bollywood! On the casting, Vijan said “Kareena is a great addition to our franchise! Angrezi Medium is a very special film, and I’m excited that she’s going to be a part of it. We wanted to introduce this character who would be taken forward in the franchises to come, and she’s perfect for it.” Initially, Radhika Apte was reported to play this role in the film.

After much speculation that Bebo would be playing Irrfan’s love interest, it was finally confirmed that this would not be the case. In an interview, Kareena said “It’s a small but interesting part as I just wanted to go out of the comfort zone and do a movie which throws me into a different milieu and I would see how it goes. Whether it’s Homi (Adajania) or Irrfan and Deepak (Dobriyal), it’s all a different world for me to be a part of.”
