Ekta Kapoor’s Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 has been making headlines ever since it was announced. Firstly, a cult show repackaged with a new cast turned out to be quite a hit formula. Yes, Hina Khan, Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes starrer has been amongst the top 3 on TRP charts. And while Hina Khan aka Komolika’s exit from the show saddened the fans, reports of Mr Bajaj’s entry further excited them.

While many popular names, like Karan Wahi, Hiten Tejwani, Milind Soman and Siddharth Shukla were said to be in the running, it was reported that Bipasha Basu’s husband Karan Singh Grover was being brought on board as Mr Bajaj. However, the show makers are still looking for a suitable face for the role. Going by an online portal’s report Bepannah actor Harshad Chopda has been approached for the role now. Well, several reasons have been given for Grover being reconsidered.

Firstly, it was said that some rushes from Karan’s new show were shown to the creators who felt that he wouldn’t be able to do justice to Mr Bajaj. Secondly, they thought he would look too old opposite Erica. But a report from another portal stated that it was Karan’s unjust demands led to the showrunners rethink their decision. Apparently, Karan was expecting a higher pay than the other actors and he also put in demands of less working hours and only on a few days in a month.

Considering the show is so popular, giving anyone such liberties wouldn’t be possible. Earlier it was said that the KZK 2 team will fly to Switzerland to shoot Mr Bajaj’s entry in the first week of June. Well, that doesn’t seem to be happening. Let us see if Harshad Chopda is locked for the part or if Mr Bajaj’s role still remains up for grabs. Stay tuned to CineBlitz.
