While Varun Dhawan’s performance in Kalank has impressed everyone, the actor will now shift his focus to his next film Street Dancer 3D. This film will mark his reunion with ABCD 2 actress Shraddha Kapoor after four years. Initially, Katrina Kaif was approached for the dance film but she opted out a few days before the film went on floors. According to media reports, Kat had abruptly walked out of the film but Varun has now come forward and cleared the air regarding the same.
While talking to a publication, Varun explained that Katrina had addressed the situation to him prior to making her decision. He revealed, “It would have been a wonderful opportunity, but things didn’t work out due to the unavailability of dates. She was keen to do the film and even requested us to postpone it slightly. But logistically, that wouldn’t have been possible since a lot of arrangements were already done.”
“She called me and discussed why she would have to exit the film. That shows her maturity and respectfulness, and it means a lot to me. I am sure we will work together in the future,” concluded the actor.
As for the movie, it’s being helmed by Remo D’Souza and has been shot in Punjab and London. Apart from Varun and Shraddha, Street Dancer 3D also features Nora Fatehi and Sunil Grover in important roles. Coming to Katrina, the leggy beauty will next be seen in Salman Khan starrer Bharat (June 5). Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates from the world of Bollywood and beyond.
