Saif Ali Khan, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh will be coming together for a horror-comedy titled Bhoot Police. Earlier, a few sources had speculated that Bhoot Police will be India’s first 3D horror-comedy film. Helmed by Pavan Kriplani, the aforementioned Bollywood stars will be teaming up for the first time. So, folks, get ready for a fun roller-coaster ride. Prior to this, there were horror comedies such as Stree and Go Goa Gone, and honestly, the audiences have been having a jolly good time. The horror-comedy genre is slowly becoming Bollywood’s favourite.
Recently, Saif said, “I’m so pleased about Bhoot Police. The subject is brilliant; a story that really works and is surprising until the end. Clutter breaking even in its genre! Pavan is an occult expert and this cast is just right. Oh, ya, and 3D! That’s a new one and I’m super excited. Pavan is really well-versed with world horror as well as Indian folklore, so I’m excited to be working with him as it’s a favourite area of mine also! And working with someone new like Fatima who is very good at her work is also very exciting. Ali and I will be really good together, I feel!”
It was revealed that it is going to be a part of a franchise, but nothing is confirmed about this as of now. It was, however, revealed that the story will be based on superstitions, conmen and ghost hunting. Isn’t that interesting now? The trio is teaming up for the first time and it will be quite refreshing to see them together. Also, ghosthunting and superstitions are quite prevalent in India, so we’re assuming that the masses will enjoy the film. Bhoot Police is backed and produced by Fox Star Studios and is written by Pavan Kriplani, Anuvab Pal, Sumit Batheja and Pooja Ladha Surti. The movie will go on floors this August. Till then stay tuned to CineBlitz for more updates.
