Boman Irani’s sweet philanthropic gesture will melt your hearts – details inside

Boman Irani is in New York to support the cause of education, and here’s how he did it. The Welcome To New York actor is in the Big Apple to be a part of a fundraising activity with the Akanksha Foundation. While Boman graced the event with his presence there, two Indian students were specially flown to New York for the event, as representatives for all underprivileged children from India.

The main purpose of the event was to raise funds for 8000 children (under the aegis of the foundation) and to celebrate the foundation’s work in providing quality education for India’s least-served children. The actor who took an oath to help raise further funds towards the foundation says, “I have been associated with The Akanksha Foundation since quite some time now. Education is the basic need of in our country. I am happy that I am able to do a little for the kids.”
