Jaina ShahThe famous ‘Naagin’ of the television world, actor Mouni Roy has been doing really well with all her projects in Bollywood and was last seen in Romeo Akbar Walter, which starred John Abraham. Now she has the big-ticket Brahmastra in her kitty in which she plays the role of an antagonist. The fantasy-drama is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Mouni reveals that she was actually quite stunned to know that she has been cast as the main villain in the movie. She said, “I am playing the main villain in the film. I am really looking forward to it. What is more liberating for me is playing different characters that challenge me. I was surprised initially that they wanted me to play the villain”.
Mouni was also grateful that she played a ‘Naagin’ on television. “Ayan Mukerji had seen something from Naagin and felt I could play the villain. So you never know what clicks with whom. As an actor, you should be willing to experiment and be versatile otherwise you can’t learn and grow,” she revealed.
The film also has an important role played by Amitabh Bachchan. The logo of the film was unveiled last year in December (2018) in Kumbh Mela and is a dream project for the director Ayan Mukerji. For more Bollywood news and updates stay tuned to CineBlitz.
