One of Bollywood’s hottest couple – Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh – has finally been signed on for a brand together. The star couple has been announced as the new faces of Havells India for its Lloyd brand that produces high-end electronic products like LED TVs. Deepika and Ranveer have replaced Amitabh Bachchan, who was the brand ambassador earlier.

As per the company’s statement, they want to target young people in their late 20’s and 30’s. Talking about announcing the star couple as the new brand ambassadors, Shashi Arora, who is the chief executive of Lloyd consumer products, said, “Both Ranveer and Deepika form a power couple and bring a lot of youthfulness around the brand. We want to signal a change and status quo around Lloyd and that is why we tied up with this couple.” The company plans to advertise across mediums that include print and outdoor and also want to leverage Deepika and Ranveer’s social media presence on Instagram. Deepika has a fan following a 33.1 million while Ranveer has 21.2 million.

On the Bollywood front, Deepika is currently working on Meghana Gulzar’s Chappak where she will be playing acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Ranveer is also busy with Kabir Khan’s 83.  Recently, Deepika and Ranveer flew to London to unveil Deepika’s wax statue at the wax museum Madame Tussauds in London.
