We all have heard about a film getting a sequel or a remake, but mostly after a very long time. But how about a film getting an animated series? Amazing and exciting, right? The comedy franchise Golmaal, starring Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Khemu, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor, will soon be an animated show on TV. Doesn’t it sound exciting already?
From what we’ve heard, the looks of the animated cartoons are inspired by the reel-life characters from the movie. So, the original protagonists – Gopal, the two Laxmans, Madhav and Lucky – will be a part of the series. “The junior Lucky (originally played by Tusshar) is the silent member, but this time around, his get-up includes a big belly and a lollipop. The first Laxman of the two (Shreyas) is a lovable character and a confidante to his ‘Gopu’, and sports a nerdy look with a mushroom haircut and round spectacles. The second Laxman (Kunal) has been given a messy avatar, and recites shayaris just like the original character. The junior Madhav (Arshad) is as wicked as the senior one,” says a news report.

The show will be backed by Rohit Shetty and Reliance Animations. The show is all set to air in May this year. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such updates from the world of television.
