Yesterday (February 26) a special screening was arranged for Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming web series titled Made In Heaven. Zoya along with her co-writer Reema Kagti, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Gully Boy actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vijay Verma, Mallika Dua graced the red carpet at a Juhu multiplex. All of them looked happy as they attended the event and posed for the shutterbugs on the red carpet.
Zoya looked chic in a shirt and blazer and trousers, paired with platform shoes. We also loved Reema’s style as she was dolled up in grey skirt and black blouse and paired the look with sports shoes. We loved her sporty look. The rest were all donned in casuals while they posed with thumbs-up gestures. We think, they loved this web series as much as we loved her directorial Gully Boy. Each time Zoya directs a film, she doesn’t just give it a Midas touch but also adds a realism angle so we can’t wait till her web content is out. The series revolves around two wedding planners Tara and Karan, who are based in Delhi. The series will walk the audience through one grand wedding season, and the many lies and secrets that are revealed. It stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Kalki Koechlin and Shivani Raghuvanshi, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora and Arjun Mathur.
Zoya, in an interview revealed that she was excited as this was her web-series project and she also spoke how she is an avid web-series watcher too. Shruti Seth also expressed her joy with Zoya finally coming up with web content and how Gully Boy stole the heart of audiences all over. Shweta Tripathi also appears in one episode of the series and she expressed her excitement to star in Zoya’s show while comedian Mallika Dua is all praise for Zoya as she says that whatever Zoya touches, turns to gold. True though!
Zoya, along with Gully Boy stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh has been revelling in the success of their film that got the audience’s praise and is widely acclaimed. Even Hollywood actor Will Smith was impressed by the film as it breaks all barriers regarding hip-hop and its perception in India.
