Hotstar specials to launch its first comedy show, The Office- read details

Hotstar specials which air shows like Criminal Justice, Mayanagari: City of Dreams, Hostages and a docu-series Roar of the Lion will have another addition to its list. As per reports, the OTT platform will make its foray into the world of comedy with the launch of its latest show, The Office.

The Office is a show where work takes a back seat and the boss tries to be your best friend. An official adaptation of the international series, The Office is a 13 episode mockumentary where typical office characters find themselves in atypical situations. Set in Faridabad, the show chronicles the 9 to 5 lives of the employees at Wilkins Chawla. And as they navigate through their mundane routine it invariably gives rise to comical situations. From a funjabi branch manager Jagdeep Chadda and the gullible and obsequious TP Mishra to an office love triangle featuring Amit Sharma, Pammi Goyal, and Parmeet Chowdhry, high dose of laughter is expected.

Directed by Rohan Sippy, the cast includes Mukul Chadda, Gauahar Khan, Ranvir Shorey, Gopal Datt, Sayandeep Sengupta, Samridhi Dewan, Priyanka Setia, Abhinav Sharma, Gavin Methalaka, Preeti Kochar, Sunil Jetly, Chien Ho Liao, Nehpal Gautam and Mayur Bansiwal. The show will start streaming on Hotstar Premium from June 28.
