Hrithik Roshan recently revealed through social media that his father, Rakesh Roshan, had been diagnosed with throat cancer. Rakeshji also underwent a surgery which was a successful one, and he is back home and on his feet, recovering at a quick pace. In the midst of all the hustle, Hrithik had paused his working schedules and other commitments due to his father’s health, and even his birthday celebrations were kept low-key with his family at the hospital where his father was.

According to a DNA report, “Duggu (Hrithik’s nickname) took a break from his shoot and other commitments as he wanted to be by his father’s side. He is relieved that the surgery went off well.  He even responded personally to all the people in the industry who inquired after Rakeshji’s health.” Now that Sr. Roshan is convalescing, Hrithik has decided to resume his shooting, for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming untitled action-thriller which also stars Tiger Shroff in a key role. Hrithik has apparently begun shooting for the second part of the movie.

Hrithik also has Super 30, that is slated to release on July 26, where he will be seen portraying the role of renowned mathematician Anand Kumar. Hrithik underwent some major body transformation for his character in the film. It was also said that the release date for the movie was postponed to avoid any clash with Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming Manikarnika. Hrithik tweeted about the film saying, “Happy to announce that #Super30 is headed for release on July 26, 2019.  बहुत जल्द समय बदलने वाला है! @RelianceEnt @NGEMovies @mrunal0801 @TheAmitSadh @nandishsandhu @super30film”
