It is a proud moment for every Indian as Mumbai’s hip-hop dance group, The Kings, with members between 17-27 years of age, emerged victorious in the reality TV show, The World Of Dance, on May 5. The judges – Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and Derek Hough – were absolutely gobsmacked with the group’s final routine. They had been known to constantly deliver performances that were culturally unique and with a different flavour each time.
For the finale, they performed an action movie sequence live on stage and once again left the judges’ mouths wide open. The latter was super-impressed with what the squad of 14 (The Kings) showcased on the stage. The Kings won the finals, receiving a huge sum of a million dollars as prize money. Prior to taking their skills on an international platform, they also won the Indian TV reality show, India’s Got Talent. A huge round of applause for the boys!
Another fun fact is that the film ABCD was based on the troupe’s triumphs and trials. Once again, our hearty congratulations to the boys on their fabulous win. Stay tuned to CineBlitz for more such interesting updates.
