Amitabh Bachchan– costar in Piku

Just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan .. this is a most disturbing and sad news. An incredible talent .. a gracious colleague .. a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema .. left us too soon .. creating a huge vacuum .. Prayers and duas

Homi Adjania—directed his last film Angrezi Medium

We laughed about you dying… in fact we often abused your “uninvited guests” …. but I didn’t think I’d feel so broken when I heard what I was expecting to hear for a while now. I am eternally grateful for walking a few steps of your journey with you. I am eternally grateful that I could call myself your friend. I am eternally grateful for memories stuffed with so much joy, so much laughter in such little time. You once told me how you had an inexplicable love for your craft, but didn’t  want the stardom anymore. Well,  you never needed to be a star my friend, because you shone brighter than anything in the universe.  RIP #irrfan

Radhika Madan—played his daughter in Angrezi Medium

I dont know what to say… my heart aches when i write this. He was one the strongest people i knew, a fighter. And so are  Sutapa ma’am ,Babil and Ayan.

Im just grateful that our paths crossed in this lifetime. He is and will always be an inspiration to many.A legend. The man who changed the wave of the indian film industry.May his soul rest in peace.

Udayshankar Pani—assistant director in Salaam Bombay

I remember in salaam Bombay, for one day work, he asked for 5,000/- & I paid him 2,000/-. He was also anchor of my serial’mano ya na mano’……. . Too early to die at 54, at peak of his career!!

Mithila Palkar – costar in Kaarwan

I am very sad hearing this news. It is heartbreaking and leaves a void that cannot be filled. We have lost one of India’s brightest lights, a wonderful, talented actor, a good human being and someone I admired deeply and was grateful to have had the opportunity to work with. I learnt so much from him while working on Karwaan. At this time my thoughts and prayers are with his family that they find the strength to cope with this loss. May he rest in peace.

Shabana Azmi

I am deeply saddened to learn about Irrfan Khan’s passing away. I last met him in London with his wife Sutapa and their son. He seemed in good spirits and I could tell that he was able to put up such a valiant fight against the illness because his two most precious people were by his side.

Gone too soon ..Irrfan will be missed by the entire Film Industry. It is doubly sad that we cannot be with his family in their grief because of the lockdown. My heartfelt condolences to the family . RIP

Shah Rukh Khan– costar in Billu
