Team Helmet celebrate completion of film with a party

Sony Pictures Network Productions and DM Movies’ upcoming film Helmet recently wrapped their shoot in Mumbai and the team celebrated the same with an intimate party in the suburbs of the city.

The Aparshakti Khurana and Pranutan Bahl starrer went on floors in the first week of December last year, after shooting in the heartlands of Varanasi, some portions or the film were shot in Mumbai recently.

Helmet is touted to be a quirky comedy that reflects the ground reality in the heartlands of the nation when it comes to a very common yet considered to be embarrassing phenomenon. The film takes a very comic spin on a pertaining issue offering an unsual entertainer to the audience.

Elated about the film wrap, Vivek Krishnani, Managing Director-Sony Pictures Entertainment India said, “As producers of Helmet we are very happy as the film wraps shoot ahead of schedule . This comedy film combined with talented performances and an interesting theme will surely make people laugh and think at the same time and we can’t wait to bring the film to the audience.”

Producer Dino Morea said, “I’m extremely thrilled and excited about the film as we created it, filmed it, lived it, seen it and loved it to the core every day since the inception, and now I can’t wait for the audience to see it as its a very relevant story for today.”

Directed by Satram Ramani and produced by SPNP as well as actor-turned-producer Dino Morea, the film will see actors Aparshakti Khurana along with Pranutan Bahl, Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Verma in pivotal roles.

Intriguing the audience with the teaser, Helmet has piqued the interest of the audience to witness the unsual comedy entertainer that is slated to release this year.

Malang runs strong on its second Monday, collects 49.2 crores at the box office!

The film has withstood all competitions at the box office

Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani’s Malang is running strong at the box office. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film is a revenge drama and also stars Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu in pivotal roles.

The movie collected 1.53 crores on its second Monday bringing the total to 49.2 crores and is all set to cross the 50 crore mark today. Malang had an opening with 6.71CR on Day 1 and has been increasing steadily and going in the upwards direction and the movie keeps the audiences intrigued and at the edge till the very last minute.

The film Malang is a Mohit Suri directorial and is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Northern Lights Entertainment’s Jay Shewakramani and definitely everyone is elated with the response.

The movie is not failing to take the audience on a thrilling ride and is facing the competition with a stronghold.

Dr. S Jaishankar to inaugurate Indian Pavilion at 70th Berlin International Film Festival

Indian Delegation to Berlinale 2020 to promote Ease of Filming in India

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is participating at the ‘70th Berlin International Film Festival’. The festival will be held from 20th February to 1st March 2020 in Berlin, Germany. The film festival will also see an India Pavilion which will provide a platform to popularize Indian cinema in the overseas market and facilitate new business opportunities.

This year in Berlin, three Indian feature films as well as one short documentary film have been selected, namely Pushpendra Singh’s Laipla Aur Satt Geet, Prateek Vats’ Eeb Allay Ooo!, Akhsay Indikar’s “Sthalpuran” and  Ekta Mittal’s short documentary “Gumnaam Din”.

Dr. S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs will inaugurate the Indian Pavilion at Berlinale.

India seeks to promote its films across linguistic, cultural and regional diversity and establish multiple international collaborations in the space of distribution, production, filming in India, and script development technology through its participation at Berlinale 2020.

The Indian delegation, through various interactions, seeks to promote the ease of shooting films in India through Film Facilitation Office (FFO) that facilitates Single Window Clearance for filmmakers and provides the platform for ‘Cinematic Tourism’ in India. The delegation will exhibit India as a post-production hub and promote collaborations for films with international production houses.

The Audio-Visual Services sector has been recognized as one of the Champion Services Sectors by the Government of India with an aim to promote India as a leading destination source for Media and Entertainment.

Government delegation to Berlinale will facilitate international participation for the 51st edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2020, Goa. IFFI aims at providing a common platform to the cinemas across the world to project the excellence of the art of film making.

The delegation has meetings scheduled with officials from countries including Israel, South Africa, New Zealand, Spain, Brazil, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, United States of America and Rwanda. The delegation will meet with officials from Locarno Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Venice International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Raindance Film Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Annecy International Animation Festival, among others.

India enjoys comparative advantage in several aspects of the filmmaking process. It has a strong domestic film industry across the country and is home to world class technicians and equipment and diverse location choices to shoot any type of film.

With over 1,800 feature films produced in the country, more than 900 television channels, 500 million internet users, 500 million smart phone users, India’s vibrant media and entertainment (M&E) industry provides attractive growth opportunities for global corporations.

The next song of Baaghi 3 titled ‘Bhankas’ is all set to be out tomorrow and to set the tone right, the makers released a special still featuring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor looking too adorable!

Baaghi 3 is all set to release on 6th March 2020 and has Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles. The movie is directed by Ahmed Khan and Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The still brings us the sparkling chemistry between the lead actors where Tiger can be seen planting a peck on Shraddha’s surprised face. What more? The upcoming track, Bhankas is a remake of Bappi Lahiri’s song and once again is set to break records as it was loved by the masses already and is all set to repeat its history.
