Kareena Kapoor Khan opens up about Takht but fans are disappointed that it’s not like Poo from K3G

Kareena Kapoor Khan, as we all know, has come a long way since playing princess Poo in Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). In fact, even after becoming a mother, Bebo proved her mettle as an actress and made a solid comeback with Rhea Kapoor’s production venture Veere Di Wedding last year. And now she is set to wow us again with two films – Good News and Takht. Though the gorgeous actress is currently shooting with Akshay Kumar for Good News, it’s her film Takht that everyone is talking about and eagerly waiting for.

The Karan Johar directorial revolves around the Mughal Era and looking at Kareena’s film career; it’s pretty evident that she hasn’t done any historical films so far. Talking to the media about her highly anticipated film, Bebo said that she will have to prepare a bit to get the dialect right and also revealed that she will undergo few look tests for her character. Further, the 38-year-old also stated that she is very happy about the film as she will be working with her BFF Karan Johar after a very long time and is hoping that her part will be remembered because it is socially relevant.

That’s not all! Mrs.Khan also told the media that she is playing a strong character in the film and its completely different from her iconic role Poo. While K3G’s Poo will always remain our favourite, it will indeed be interesting to see Kareena in a completely different avatar. In Takht, the actress will be essaying the role of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan’s eldest daughter, Jahanara Begum Sahib. Apart from her, the film also features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in key roles.
