The Forgotten Army- Azaadi ke Liye

The trailer of Amazon Prime Video India’s first show of the year ‘The Forgotten Army – Azaadi ke Liye’ was launched recently and has been receiving immense appreciation from all across. Director Kabir Khan who brings together a very talented cast on the first every web show being produced on a budget of 150 crores, has some beams to spill on how it really happened.

Kabir Khan says, “Being the first script I’ve ever written, The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye is a project I am very passionate about. It is a tale that is larger than life and bringing it to screen would not have been possible without the support and trust showcased by Amazon Prime Video.”

“The journey of these unsung heroes of the INA is a deeply moving story that needs to be told. This project has been a labour of love for me. From custom creating hundreds of bicycles from the 1940s, to recreating the erstwhile Singapore of that era, and finding just the right cast to give life and do justice to these characters, our only endeavour has been to truly represent the journey of these fiercely brave men and women, to whom we owe our freedom, in an authentic way”, he further shares on the journey with his project.

The series tells the untold story of the freedom fighters who braved adversities and bullets to fight for the independence of India. ‘The Forgotten Army – Azaadi ke Liye’ promises to take the viewer back in time, relive the era and witness the Indian freedom struggle and the sacrifice of the 55,000 soldiers that have contributed to our freedom.

Hailed as the biggest show ever produced mounted on a huge budget, ‘The Forgotten Army – Azaadi ke Liye’, created and directed by ace filmmaker, Kabir Khan, will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 24th January 2020.
