We all know that veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has been undergoing treatment for his illness in New York for a while now. Amidst the Election fever, the actor made an appeal to the Indian Consulate in New York, urging to be able to cast his vote from overseas. He tweeted, “Called the Indian Consulate’s office here in NY to inquire if there was any facility for people like us to vote (away from home) There wasn’t. Please do not forget to vote wherever and whenever you have to. Jai Hind! Vande Mataram! (Sorry for earlier error).”

He also urged his followers to use their democratic right and vote for their candidate. Usually, in other countries there are multiple ways to vote irrespective of where you are placed during the time. While in NY, wife Neetu Kapoor has been with the actor through this entire ordeal. But the couple has also had visitors who check on them often.

Besides, son Ranbir Kapoor, who often goes to see his dad, there’re Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Karisma Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan to name a few, who’ve checked in on Rishi. We absolutely love Rishi’s commitment towards his civic duties even through this tough time. Here’s wishing him a speedy recovery. Keep following CineBlitz for all the latest news from Bollywood.
