King Of Pop Michael Jackson left for heavenly abode on June 25, exactly a decade ago. While he is still etched in our memories, he has also inspired many. Yes, there are so many MJ fans, who were left smitten by his moonwalk, toe stand, anti-gravity lean. Amongst the many he inspired were some Bollywood stars too. And as we remember the pop-star on his 10th death anniversary, let us take a look at the actor Michael Jackson has inspired.
Hrithik Roshan– Bollywood’s Greek God who is loved for his acting skills, is adored for his dance moves more. Along with being one of the best dancers in the Hindi film industry, Hrithik has also been a fan of Michael Jackson since his childhood days. His dance moves in the film Bang Bang are quite similar to MJ’s signature poses. The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara star also met the pop legend while shooting for Anurag Basu’s Kites.
Tiger Shroff- The young superstar has an amazing mass appeal, thanks to his impeccable dance moves. Yes, the Student Of The Year 2 actor manages to ace every dance step. And in case you don’t know, Tiger is a true blue MJ fan. In his debut film Heropanti, Tiger Shroff left everyone amazed with his Michael Jackson-inspired dance performance. The actor also paid a fitting tribute to the King of Pop, terming him as the reason why he started dancing.
Prabhu Deva– Choreographer-turned-director-turned-actor PrabhuDeva was called the Michael Jackson of India. The influence of King of Pop on PrabhuDeva’s energetic dance moves is quite evident in his performances like Muqala Muqabala in Humse Hai Muqabala and Go Govinda in Oh My God.
Remo D’souza- A choreographer, former Dance India Dance judge and now a director, Remo was just 14 when he first saw Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk. In an interview with a leading daily, Remo said,” I thought how can he move like that?” After this, his fandom for the King of Pop has known no boundaries.
Jaaved Jaaferi– He is not only an amazing comedian but also a skilled dancer. He was a big fan of Michael Jackson during his initial years. He even got to meet the dancing legend way back in New York during an award show.
