Newly-become-mom, Neha Dhupia gave birth to her first baby girl on November 18. She is revelling in the joys of motherhood. After a brief break she was back to work. She has been working on TV projects as a host and a judge. Being pregnant is really tough but what’s even more challenging is the weight post pregnancy. Neha was fat-shamed for having that extra weight gain. The headlines of an article, infuriated Neha further.

Not one to let it lie, she took to her twitter account to express her disgust on being fat-shamed. She wrote that body shaming has to stop for everyone including celebrities. She confessed that she was new at being a mom and needed all the energy to keep her bundle of joy healthy and happy. She berated those who were being vile at her. Her friends, Karan Johar, Sonam Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar how their support. Check their tweets and Neha’s Instagram post about this topic:

In a recent interview she said that she had accomplished so much personally, had to be stronger and will continue working. She addressed herself on Instagram to clear the matter. She wrote: “I don’t owe anyone an explanation because fat-shaming doesn’t bother me one bit. But I do want to address this as a larger problem because fat-shaming needs to stop for EVERYONE not just celebs. As a new mom I want to be fit, healthy and energetic for my daughter. So, I work out every day, sometimes twice a day; because for me…’fitness’ is a priority and not ‘fitting into’ society’s standards. And I hope in future people are kinder to each other while making such vapid and vile comments. To quote @pattonoswalt … “Be Kind. It’s chaos out there.”
Neha was at the Lakme Fashion Week where she endorsed the cause of sustainable fashion.
