Pinch: Sonakshi gives it back to her trolls on Arbaaz Khan’s chat show

Arbaaz Khan’s chat show Pinch has gained much recognition among the audience and is a platform where B-town celebs get to respond to their trolls. After having Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karan Johar on the show, the latest one to troll the trolls was Sonakshi Sinha. The Dabbang actress read out loud several mean comments and responded to them in her own signature style. Sona, as we all know, was curvy before making her Bollywood debut. The actress confessed that she dropped 30 kilos to do Dabbang alongside Salman Khan. Since then, people have been very critical of her to the extent of saying that she goes on hunger strikes.

Talking about the same on Arbaaz’s show Pinch, Sonakshi said that initially, she would fret every time a negative comment was thrown her way but looking back she has learnt how to block them out. While reading one too many negative comments by the trolls about her weight, Sonakshi replied, “To hell with it. I will continue to be what I am.” The gorgeous then went on to state, “If you like me watch me, and if you don’t like me then don’t watch me.”

She also added, “If the criticism is constructive and will help me, I will happily read it and take it in good spirit. But if you are criticising me only because you have had a fight at home and you are venting on me, I am not going to take it.” That’s not all! She also asked the trolls, “If you don’t like a person and say ‘you are so ugly’, why do you follow them on social media or comment on their posts? Do you have so much of spare time?”

When asked how she goes about dealing with the trolls on a regular basis, Sonakshi said, “We work really hard throughout the day. We don’t need this extra negativity. So that’s when I feel like, let’s not read the comments or go on Twitter. Let’s just concentrate on our work, be happy and lead a positive life. Block is my favourite button on social media.” Well, we totally agree with Sona on this one.

Work wise, Sonakshi will next be seen in Abhishek Varman’s much-awaited magnum opus Kalank along with Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sanjay Dutt, and Aditya Roy Kapur.
