We all know that Boman Irani is one of the finest actors in Bollywood today. Throw any role at him and he is sure to deliver. After impressing us with his small cameo in the Sanju biopic, the 60-year-old has now signed Omung Kumar’s directorial venture PM Narendra Modi. In the film, which has already gone on floors, Irani will be essaying the role of business tycoon Ratan Tata. Interestingly, the photographer-turned-actor didn’t think twice before saying yes to the role. Knowing that he is a versatile actor, we are sure everyone must be looking forward to see him as Ratan Tata on the big screen.
Talking about his role, Boman said in an interview, “I have always received comments on social media that I resemble Mr. Ratan Tata. I always thought the day the character comes along; I will be more than happy to play it. So, when Omung, Sandip and Vivek called me for the role, I immediately agreed to do it.” Further, the Happy New Year star was all praises for Vivek Oberoi who plays Modi in the film. He said, “I must say that Vivek has worked really hard to get where he has gotten with the character. It was a pleasure to see him maturing into an artist who takes on such a difficult role. He has done it with great maturity and homework.”
Apart, from Boman and Vivek, PM Narendra Modi also stars Zarina Wahab, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Prashant Narayanan, Darshan Rawal, Akshat R Saluja, Anjan Shrivastav, Rajendra Gupta, Yatin Karyekar and Manoj Joshi in important roles. While the cast is in place and the makers have already started shooting for the film in Ahmadabad, the release date of the biopic is yet to be announced. Last month, the film grabbed eyeballs when the first poster was unveiled that too in 23 languages. Since then the hype around PM Narendra Modi biopic has only gotten bigger.
