Priyanka Chopra gives Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas a cool nickname!

Before the surprise wedding of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, Priyanka Chopra was the most recent addition to the Jonas family, having wed Nick Jonas towards the end of 2018. However, Turner is now officially a Jonas too having married Joe in an impromptu wedding in Las Vegas, attended only by close friends and family. About the wedding, Bollywood actress and now Sophie’s sister-in-law, Priyanka told a publication “We were randomly inviting our friends, like people that we met. We were like, ‘alright, we’re going to set up this wedding now, we’re going to the chapel right from here, and please arrive, please arrive.”

In attendance at the wedding was producer Diplo too, who filmed the entire event on his Instagram story. “We had Diplo, Khalid, they were really sweet, they arrived. Diplo Instagram Live-d the whole thing, it was awesome,” Priyanka added. Sophie was seen in the video, walking down the aisle in a silk shirt and pants (definitely deviating from tradition) to an acoustic version of the song ‘Speechless’, with Joe Jonas’ brothers Nick and Kevin by his side as his groomsmen. Chopra, however, clarified that this would not be the only official wedding and that a more formal and proper one will follow soon. “They are going to have this amazing, beautiful wedding obviously.”

As for the couple’s nickname, Priyanka was quoted saying, “I call them Jophie. It’s like, trust them to do that. That is Jophie!” Sophie Turner has been a part of the main cast of Game of Thrones since the very beginning while her hubby Joe Jonas has been a singer-musician whose latest album with his brothers, Happiness Begins will release on June 7, 2019.
