Rakul Preet Singh lands a role in Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2

De De Pyaar De actress Rakul Preet Singh is the latest addition to the ensemble cast of Shankar’s Indian 2. And after much delay, the film will finally go on floors on August 18. The shooting of this sequel will take place in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh.

As per reports, actress Kajal Agarwal has already been confirmed to play the leading lady opposite Kamal Haasan. And Rakul will be paired opposite Siddharth who will be playing the role of a cop in the sequel to the 1992 hit Indian. In an interview with a leading daily, Rakul said, “It’s a sequel to one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema and I’m really kicked about being a part of it. I was excited when I was offered the role because it’s a Shankar-Kamal Haasan combination and getting a chance to work with legends like that so early in my career is an opportunity I did not want to miss. Though I am yet to sign it officially, I’m looking forward to start shooting for it.”

The makers of the film had released the poster on the occasion of Pongal earlier this year. And according to reports, the makers will complete the shoot of the film in the span of the next six months. In the meanwhile, stay tuned to CineBlitz for the latest updates.
