Ranveer Singh’s reaction to Amitabh Bachchan’s Gully Boy appreciation letter cannot be missed

Gully Boy has been receiving much praise from the audience since its release and even B-town celebs have lauded this Zoya Akhtar’s directorial venture. It was also chosen to be a part of the Berlin International Film Festival. While the film has given all of us a new lens to look through at the world of hip-hop, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, added the extra zest in making Gully Boy absolutely worth watching. Even Amitabh Bachchan fell completely in love with the film and was quite impressed with all the actors. So much so that he sent Alia and Siddhant Chaturvedi, who played the role of MC Sher in the film, a handwritten letter of appreciation.

And then it was Ranveer Singh’s turn. Yes, the B-town hunk also received a letter and a bouquet from Big B, acknowledging his work in the film. And as expected, Deepika Padukone’s hubby took to social media expressed his gratitude in the cutest way saying, “सबसे ख़ास पुरस्कार @amitabhbachchan”. Siddhant, who made his acting debut with Gully Boy, had also posted a message on social media after he received the letter from the Shehanshah of Bollywood himself. He wrote, “सादर प्रणाम, आपका उपहार और आशीर्वाद मिला जो मेरे लिएअकल्पनीय है। इस ख़ुशी की व्याख्या मैं शब्दों में नहीं कर सकता। ये मेरे लिएसौभाग्य और गर्व का पल है, और अब बस आपके चरण स्पर्श की कामना करताहूँ।

Thanking Senior Bachchan, Alia too wrote, “It is not every day you receive a letter from the legend. Grateful?” Well, even we are grateful for Gully Boy because we loved the film so much that it has given us a new perspective and a sense of awareness. Anyway, Work wise, Alia just wrapped shooting for her upcoming film Kalank co-starring Varun Dhawan and is currently with Brahmastra which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. Ranveer is also prepping for his next film 83 which is being directed by Kabir Khan.
