The writing and the scripting process in Indian cinema have undergone colossal changes in the last decade. Those wielding the pen in the current era are braving through formulaic filmmaking and exploring content that has never been tried before. Among these creative entities – screenwriter, Kanika Dhillon, writer-director-producer, Nitesh Tiwari and actress, Fatima Sana Shaikh discussed and reminisced 2016’s monstrous blockbuster, Dangal at Mood Indigo at IIT Bombay.

Leading the conversation titled ‘Reliving Dangal’ at one of Asia’s largest college cultural festivals, Dhillon pointed out the highlights of Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial that made it a success within and outside of India. The writer-director-producer and the actress spilled the beans on the inside stories of mega-hit movie and took the attendees through the making of the film.
