RRR: Woman duped by so-called producers who promised her a role in the film – read details

SS Rajamouli’s RRR has been in the news today (July 19) after a woman claimed being cheated by a so-called producer who promised her a role in the film. The man in question and two of his associates were nabbed by the Commissioner’s Task Force (Central) earlier today. However, thirteen other people who are also involved in the case are yet to be found.

As per reports, the suspect, Veerabatini Naresh Kumar, 28, works as an office boy in Koni Labs at Banjara Hills, had apparently contacted the woman on the pretext of seeking legal advice. DCP (Task Force) P Radha Kishan Rao said in an interview to a publication that, “Naresh Kumar introduced himself as movie producer Aditya and after talking for a few days with the advocate, offered to cast her in RRR. On a few occasions, Naresh Kumar imitated the voice of Rajamouli to convince her to part with money towards various expenses.”

Furthermore, according to reports, when the victim grew suspicious about the film after not having been called for a long time, she registered a case against the perpetrators with the Bowenpally police. The police have recovered the car, some gold ornaments, mobile phones and Rs 65,000 from them.
