See You On The Other Side movie review: A decent binge on a summery afternoon

The lockdown due to COVID-19 hasn’t stopped digital content creators from experimenting with the form and narratives. One such experiments is See You On The Other Side, a Black and White Original web series is streaming on Filmeraa. The four-episode, short-format series tells a story of a happy-go-lucky girl Annie who goes through online sessions with a Professor Jayram Chattopadhyay aka JC to learn about multiple realities and save herself from COVID-19.

But it is not as simple or easy as it sounds. Annie discovers many scary realities through her sessions with the professor. The basic premise of the series is interesting, but a more cohesive writing could have added more meat to the whole narrative as a few things become irrelevantly complexed at times.

It is a series created by two people – Akash Goila and Paribhasha, who are featuring in it. The film is shot on phone and its quite impressive. It is shot in black and white (maybe to avoid the inconsistency of light and achieve a decent look) and the background score does well for most part. Actress Paribhasha as Annie is reasonably good. Besides performing, Akash Goila has also written and edited the web series tactfully.

Four episodes in total amount to half an hour of viewing. See You On The Other Side is a decent binge on a summery afternoon.
