Sonam Kapoor looks stunning in black as she attends the National Museum of Qatar opening ceremony

Sonam Kapoor recently graced a historic event and as usual, the actress caught everyone’s attention courtesy her sartorial sense. She attended the opening ceremony of the National Museum of Qatar in Doha just a few days back. Apart from Sonam, a lot of artists from various countries were also a part of the special occasion. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, also attended the starry event and did the honours of inaugurating the museum.

Coming back to Sonam, for the event, she wore a black regal gown with draped sleeves from designer Marmar Halim’s fighter collection. While the outfit was pretty simple, the high-waisted hem and the pockets gave it a very elegant look. The Neerja heroine gave her high fashion look a desi twist by wearing a stunning emerald-pearl choker neckpiece from Amrapali Jewels along with a beautiful maang tika which was from her mother Sunita Kapoor’s personal jewellery collection. Overall, Ms Ahuja looked breathtakingly gorgeous from head-to-toe. Well, she isn’t called a fashionista for no reason, right peeps? Later, Rhea Kapoor and fashion designer Marmar Halim both shared pictures of Sonam on their respective Instagram handles.

Work wise, Sonam was last seen in Shelly Chopra Dhar’s directorial venture Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga alongside her father Anil Kapoor, Regina Cassandra and Rajkummar Rao. She will next be seen in Abhishek Sharma’s The Zoya Factor which is slated to release this year.

Talking about the museum, it has been designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning French architect Jean Nouvel who also designed the Louvre in Paris and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. The National Museum of Qatar resembles a giant desert rose and was the inspiration behind its design. It’s indeed an architectural marvel which will attract a lot of tourists henceforth.
