Talent agency Kwan Entertainment headed to China

Ever since Bollywood names like Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan started making rounds in China, international entertainment trade tie-ups between the country and India have been in the works. Now, finally, we have the popular and well-established Kwan Entertainment, taking the first plunge into this notion by heading to China.

They have secured a collaboration with EStars, and will soon begin exploring the Chinese market with the aim of securing brand endorsements and production deals from there. As far as business and trade is concerned, this collaboration is being viewed as one of the biggest between the two countries, with many saying that this would mark the peak of trade relations between them. Kwan Entertainment hopes that the effort will lead to availing more opportunities for their clients in every talent area and also help in expanding the pool of representation to all aspects of the Bollywood industry, including cinematographers, writers, directors, etc.

On the topic of the tie-up, Vijay Subramaniam, CEO, Kwan, reportedly said, “The growth of Indian entertainment in China cannot be ignored. The opportunities for Indian talent that Chinese businesses offer are also usually more lucrative. It became a natural step for us to follow these opportunities and ensure we help our clients capitalize on them effectively.”
