The Kings’ Suresh Mukund on World of Dance victory: “Our win is an inspiration for all dancers.”

The Kings emerged victorious on the international dance show, making many of us proud. Headed by Suresh Mukund the team won the World of Dance championship judged by Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and choreographer Derek Hough. Beating Unity LA in the final battle, the contemporary dance crew scored a perfect 100 to win the title. Suresh along with two of his team members – Hrithik Gupta and Shijin Ramesh got into an exclusive conversation with team CineBlitz. He spoke about their journey from a small group from Vasai-Nalasopra to winning of the World of Dance championship title. Check out the video interview right here:

In the interview, the excited and proud team spoke about many things that went down at the stage of WOD. From the first thought at making it to the competition, to the final moment, Suresh found it difficult to contain himself and told us every detail of their journey. Bollywood celebs like Hrithik Roshan, Remo D’Souza, Farah Khan amongst others even congratulated the team on the big win and the team told us how that felt. Now, it looks like there is no stopping for them as they revealed what their future plans as well.

For those unaware, The Kings started as Fictitious Dance Group and won the trophy of India’s Got Talent in 2011. They finished eighth at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship and Remo D’souza’s ABCD 2 was even based on Suresh’s journey. After the co-founder Vernon Monterio left the team, Suresh formed Kings United India and won the bronze medal at World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2015 in San Diego.
