Ananya Panday has found her place in Bollywood as is two films old and working on two more

When she made the debut with Student of the Year 2, she not just turned heads with her screen presence but also marked herself as one promising actor who had arrived to win. Picking the role of a 25-year-old, while being only 21 with her artistry, she proved her talent to the audience and critics both. But, THIS is when Ananya faced the camera for the first time and knew- this is her calling!

Telling us about how her parents and she realised that there was an actress inside of her, Änanya reminisces, I think Le Bal was the first time that my parents saw me actually work and like- you know, do these photoshoots, interviews and I was so excited to do everything. I was so eager that I wanted to do every single thing. They were like “Ökay, I think she’s really serious about this and wants to be here and work to be here”. For me, it was the first time even facing the camera and we had to do this dance in front of all these people and it was in a foreign country, with a stranger and I was nervous but I was excited. I felt like I was playing a role over there. I was this princess and this was kind of a Cinderella story. So, for me that was like doing a role in a way.

“With her debut awaiting her, Ananya further adds, “And then, ‘Student Of The Year 2’ happened and that was just unbelievable for me. I mean if you ask me what a dream launch would have been or a dream vein which I would want to be presented by someone, it would be Karan Johar. All the time I would. I grew up with films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham.’ That Dharma tune was like the playback sound of my life like I was so obsessed by it so, I think that’s how it got sent out to the universe and I’m just so grateful.”

On the work front, Ananya Panday has already been busy juggling between major projects- from Khaali Peeli alongside Ishaan Khatter and, Shakun Batra’s film alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Deepika Padukone. And, recently announced yet another one in her kitty, which also marks her first PAN India release alongside Vijay Deverakinda. Apart from the films, Ananya is also the face of many well-known and iconic brands which will further add on to her already busy 2020.
