With just one first look poster and a few snaps of the team shooting for the film, the Akshay Kumar – Kiara Advani-starrer Laxmmi Bomb made headlines. Akshay’s look especially made jaws drop! Soon after that, the film made news again, but not for the right reasons. A day after the poster released (May 19), the director of the film Raghava Lawrence opted out of the film citing reasons that he was not being given his due respect as a director. We exclusively even told you that Housefull 4 director Farhad Samji was being considered to step in his shoes! But there is a new development now!

Actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence has said that he would revise his decision to not direct the horror-comedy if the makers give him the respect he deserves. Taking it to his social media on Sunday (May 26), he stated, “I had tweeted about stepping out of Laxmmi Bomb a few days back. Post my tweet, both Akshay Kumar sir’s fans and my fans have been requesting me to do this film. I’m overwhelmed with their genuine love. But trust me, I’m equally upset for the past one week as you are.”

He further revealed that the producers would be coming to Chennai to meet him and talk about this matter. “It’s completely in their hands now. If I am given proper self-respect for the job, then I’ll think about it. Let’s see after the meeting. Wanted to share this message to all fans who were genuinely concerned,” he added. Now, let’s see what decisions do the makers of the film make!
