Co-directed by Deepa Mehta, the recently released trailer of Huma Qureshi’s series Leila has impressed many. The unique plot and the fantasy world has left many curious to get to know it. Meanwhile, the trailer also impressed Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and writer Varun Grover, but they have a question and it is a serious one.
Based on the book by Prayag Akbar that goes by the same name, Leila is a series that talks about a dystopian town that thrives on purity. The trailer released last week and has impressed Aaamir but he wants to know about the people who created it? Yes, Aamir in his tweet praised the trailer and also pointed out the issue that the credits are missing from it. He wrote, “Wow! I want to watch this. By the way, how come there are no credits. I want to know the names of the crew members.” Taking the tweet forward Sacred Games writer Varun Grover replied saying, “Thanks for raising this concern. Hope @NetflixIndia/@netflix display their respect for creators by crediting them at the end of the trailers. The present format doesn’t make any sense.”
Leila starring Huma, traces the journey of a mother who is in the quest to find her daughter in a city that survives on purity. The show will release on Netflix on June 14.
