The election season is at its peak and, today (April 29), we saw West Bengal casting their vote. Meanwhile, a controversy took the centre stage when Babul Supriyo’s car was vandalized by the crowd at a polling booth in Asansol. There have been updates on the same since this morning and the latest update is that the Election Commission has directed to register an FIR against Babul. Here’s all you need to know about the same.

Babul is contesting this election for the Asansol seat in West Bengal on a BJP ticket. This morning, Babul got to know that the booths were promised CPRF. But the booths were left unmanned creating a lot of confusion among local villagers who boycotted the voting till they were given what they were promised. Babul decided to storm the booth and, thus, was backlashed.

While Babul spoke about the same and we informed you about that, the latest update is that the EC has directed to file an FIR against Babul on the basis that he allegedly trespassed into booth number 199, and threatened a polling agent as well as an officer.
