India’s very own Game of Thrones aka General Elections is around the corner and things are getting interesting with each passing day. While new developments are happening on the election front, we are also seeing party members taking jibes at opposition. Yes, actress Smriti Irani, who is contesting from Amethi with BJP’s ticket, has taken a nasty dig at Congress over the Pulwama attack. The actress turned politician is known for her firebrand speeches and she did not hold herself back this time around. She has not only targeted Rahul Gandhi but also spoke about Sam Pitroda and how he supported Pakistan during the deadly attack.

As per a leading news agency’s report, Smriti said, “Kisne socha tha hamare jawano ka khoon bahega Pulwama mein, aur Congress desh ke sath nahi, Pakistan ke sath khadi ho jaegi, ki Rahul Gandhi ke guru Sam Pitroda kahenge ki Hindustan mein to aisi ghatnaon mein log marte rehte hain lekin Pakistan ko dosh nahi dena chahiye.” Well, this politically charged statement is nothing new as in the past, we have seen Rahul Gandhi also bad mouthing the Modi government. Recently, even actor Shatrughan Sinha was not very happy with his name not being included in the Bihar list of election candidates.

Well, it seems this verbal battle between the political parties won’t be ending anytime soon and so we are eager to know what Rahul Gandhi would say in response to Smriti’s remarks. Now that there have been new additions to BJP with Isha Koppikar and Jaya Prada joining the party, only time will tell what will happen in this race to power during this election season.
