After Priyanka Chopra, Congress candidate from Mumbai North Urmila Matondkar, BJP lawmaker and actor Paresh Rawal, actresses Rekha and Madhuri Dixit Nene were among the early celeb voters. Now, Farahan Akhtar, Esha Deol and mother Hema Malini (who is contesting with a BJP ticket from Mathura) have reached the election booths in Mumbai this afternoon as polling began in all six seats of country’s financial capital.

Farhan even addressed the media saying, “I would say that today is a very important day as every citizen gets to choose their government and choose how India develops further. So, I would request people to go and vote now.” Hema Malini also addressed the media saying, “I would urge the people to go and vote. I have even asked my driver and helper to go out and vote. I really appreciate the outsiders living in Mumbai who have taken a leave and went to their native place to vote.” Crowded by media, Esha even took a dig at the reporters and asked them to go and vote as well.
