Hasti DoshiHema Malini will be contesting the 2019 General Election from Mathura, which is her current parliamentary constituency. The actress is associated with the political party BJP. The list of candidates contesting for the elections was announced by BJP yesterday (March 21). A list for 184 constituencies across India was announced. While there were many unexpected names, Hema Malini’s name was also in the list.
The actress’ name in the list didn’t come as a surprise, as this is not the first time she’s contesting and she had earlier mentioned that she might contest. Today, Hema Malini took to Twitter to express her happiness and this is what the dream girl wrote, “With all your good wishes& the desire of the Mathuravasis, I will be contesting the LS seat from Mathura once again. I hope this will give me the opportunity to complete all the ongoing projects initiated these 5 yrs &transform Mathura into a dream destination for religious tourism.” We must say that she has a great vision for Mathura and we’re glad that she’s contesting for the elections with such a vision. This is the second time that she will be contesting elections from the same zone. Yesterday, the actress thanked PM Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for choosing her to contest the elections from Mathura. She has also promised the party that she will work hard to look after the development of the area.

Other actors to make it to the list are Kamal Haasan and Shatrughan Sinha, who will be contesting from their respective constituencies. The elections are divided into seven phases and will be conducted from April to May. While the election season is warming up, let’s wait and watch what this election brings out.
