The Lok Sabha elections of 2019 are approaching and with that various headlines have been doing the rounds. While many of us have been interested to know who from Bollywood will be contesting in the elections this year, this morning we were in for a shock when Shatrughan Sinha’s name was not announced as a contender from the Patna Saheb constituency. He has been replaced by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. And now we have learnt that even Paresh Rawal will not be seen contesting for the upcoming Lok Sabha election that will begin from April 11.
Though he announced this morning (March 23) that he isn’t keen on contesting for the 2019 elections, he had left the final decision to the party. And we know why the actor is not keen to contest for elections. A source close to Paresh Rawal tells us, “ He has been saying from day one that he does not want to make a political career. So he will not be contesting for these elections. But he will be seen campaigning.” Paresh had won the BJP (Bhartiya Janata Party) ticket for Ahmedabad East in the 2014 elections. Other celebrities who will be seen contesting are Hema Malini from the Mathura Constituency and Smriti Irani from the Amethi constituency.
I request media and friends not to speculate about my nomination. I had informed the party months in advance of my decision to not contest LS elections . I, however, remain a loyal member of BJP and a staunch supporter of @narendramodi.

Well, we have seen many actors enter politics, and Isha Koppikar was the latest entry into BJP from B-town. While Paresh has chosen to take a backseat in politics we are sure he will keep his career in Bollywood flourishing. The senior actor was last seen in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic titled Sanju.
