Candidates for Lok Sabha 2019 elections are being declared since a week now. While some names were expected, few were surprising as well. BJP’s decision to snub veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and senior politico LK Advani this year has particularly raised many eyebrows. The yesteryear actor and former Union Cabinet Minister was hoping to get a ticket from Bhartiya Janta Party, but that didn’t happen and hence he has been venting out his anger on social media. Yesterday (March 24), Sinha wrote on Twitter, “Sirji, instead of playing Rafale Baba & Chalis Chokiwdar, which has already fallen flat on its face, it’s high time & right time to take some corrective measures (if you still can) & go for damage control soon, sooner the better. Meanwhile it’s worrisome, painful and according to some people, even shameful… that which your people have done was the most expected & awaited….orchestrating the departure of a most respected friend, philosopher, guide, father figure & ultimate leader of the party Shri LK Advani, from the political arena/ election.”

Shatrughan Sinha is so miffed that reportedly he is planning to leave BJP party and join Congress party instead. At least that’s what the media reports claim. When we got in touch with him and asked him to comment on the same, Sinha exclusively told CineBlitz, “I have got many calls regarding elections but I will only talk about it two days later. This is the churning period and also I am thankful about friends from all the parties be it Congress or AAP. Also Akhilesh Yadav, Lalu and team have got in touch but I will be telling it all after few days.” When asked if Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) wasn’t happy with his work, he laughed it off and said, “If someone can’t give a ticket to LK Advani then what to talk about me. Yashwant Sinha, Arun Shourie, Murli Manohar Joshi and father figure LK Advani… this was most-awaited and expected. I have even said that let them do what they want but I will not leave the party and I am glad that I have lived up to my words and they have lived up to their character.”
