LOL: Land of Lungi – THIS star has returned to the film and will have Kriti Sanon opposite him

The to and fro to lock the hero of Sajid Nadiadwala’s LOL: Land of Lungi has finally come to an end. It may be recalled that the film – to be directed by Farhad Samji – was announced last year with Akshay Kumar in the lead. However earlier this year (June) it was reported that he has walked out of the film due to date issues. Post this we told you how Vicky Kaushal was being roped in place of Akshay, but then later he too walked out of the film. There was then buzz that Shah Rukh Khan has been approached for the film. In fact, reports claimed that SRK was even considering the film. But now we can confirm the latest development and it is that the film has finally got its hero.

Yes, and this hero is none other than Akshay Kumar. As per our sources, the action star is back with his dear friends Farhad and Sajid Nadiadwala to star in LOL: Land of Lungi. And the actress opposite him will be Kriti Sanon. This will be the first time that the two will work together, though Akshay had lent his voice for Kriti’s Kartik Aaryan starrer Luka Chuppi earlier this year.

Well, talking about Akshay’s return, the source says that the dates were still in process of being sorted when news came about of him leaving the project. “But now the latest is that Akshay is back and he’s doing the film,” said the source. But that’s not all. As per the inside buzz, the makers may be looking at changing the title of the film. They even plan to confirm Akshay as the solo hero of the film.
