Meezaan Jaaferi and Sharmin Segal’s debut film Malaal is less than a month away. The makers have already impressed the audience with the trailer and the first song Aila Re also went on to be a hit. And today (June 12) a new song from the film has released, titled Udhal Ho. After seeing the song, we must that no one but only Sanjay Leela Bhansali has cracked the code to make the festive songs so much fun. Featuring Meezan and Sharmin the song is composed by SLB and fits perfectly into the Maharashtrian vibe of the film.

Udhal Ho is sung by famous Marathi singer Adarsh Shinde. The lyrics are by Prashant Ingole who has previously worked with SLB on Bajirao Mastani in 2015. Weaved around the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations the song begins with the tunes of banjo and set the mood just right. The highlight in the song is Meezan and Sharmin’s raw chemistry. Choreographed by Kruti Mahesh Midya the dance routine is simple yet fun to watch.

Richa for LGBTQ
Richa Chaddha campaigning for the LGBTQ community

One of the major supporters of the LGBTQIA+ Community, actress Richa Chadha, has always stood up for their rights. Recently, she was also chosen as the face of India’s leading LGBTQ NGO Humsafar Trust to inaugurate India’s first ever holistic medical centre for the people of the community, to help them break away from the stigmas of general discrimination they face.

Having strong opinions and thoughts has made Richa an international figure to be the jury member of many international film festivals or forums. Besides, she has also been a part of many global conversations, out of which, one is about the ongoing Pride Month that is celebrated every June across the world. The month marks the celebration of the pride flag, the LGBTQ community and the lives of all its members.

Talking about the same, Richa said in a statement, “A month dedicated to the LGBTQ community gives us an opportunity to bring up this conversation. Now the Draconian 377 has been repealed, slowly and steadily we can aim at removing social prejudice. It’s an honor for me to be considered by the US Consulate in India as a supporter of this movement.”

Due to her constant support, the US consulate asked her to do a special promotion of Pride Month in India. Richa will be seen leading the way for the cause and they’ll be using digital platforms and social media for the same. We are sure, Richa, along with the US consulate would succeed in spreading awareness. For more news and updates, stay tuned to CineBlitz.

Director Soham Shah of Kaal fame has been busy shooting for ALTBalaji’s new web series. The final sequences were being shot today (June 19) near Ghodbunder Road, Thane. However, the shoot was put on a halt by a few goons in the afternoon. What’s more, is that they were beaten up by these four hooligans, who even ransacked their equipment. While we exclusively told you about what Soham Shah had to say. Now, actress Mahie Gill, who was also present there, exclusively spoke to us regarding the entire scenario.

Mahie Gill narrated the incident saying, “Police is in fact with them, how can we complain? Goons were there and the police told them to do this, and take money from the producers, then only they would return our production stuff.” When we asked Mahie if the Goons took away their money she replied saying, “I don’t know how much money they took. I had to go from there with the DOP as he was bleeding a lot and got stitches on his head. I rushed him to the hospital, my staff was there, the hairdresser ran to the police to ask for help. Instead, the police told goons to hit us.”

Mahie was extremely shocked while narrating the incident and said, “We were shooting and I don’t know what triggered them, they didn’t talk or shout or spoke cuss words. They just came and attacked us. Sohum fainted and we all left later. My driver also got hit, they came to me as well but someone said she is an artist and they went away. This was like a film scene, no one could even take videos because all were attacked. Shame on the cops for supporting them.”
