March 17 was a sad day as news of Goa CM Manohar Parrikar’s demise broke out. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few months before and he died fighting cancer at his son’s house yesterday. He was 63. The late CM was the building block of the BJP government’s effortless working in Goa. He always wanted to serve the people of India till his last breath and he did make the people of Goa proud of their development. His sudden death brought a wave of shock amongst the Hindi cinema industry as well. From Amitabh Bachchan to Akshay Kumar, many celebs took to their social media page to pay their condolences.
In his tweet, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “T 3122 – Manohar Parikar CM Goa, passes away .. a gentleman to the core, simple in demeanour and well respected .. spent few short moments with him .. very dignified .. fought his illness bravely .. prayers and condolences.” Akshay Kumar, who has had the chance to meet the CM also took to Twitter to give his regards. Varun Dhawan, Randeep Hooda also had warm things to say about the three times CM of Goa. Check out the tweets right here:
